Welcome to New Myrnam School

Lactantia is giving communities across Canada the opportunity to win $25,000 to be put towards a valued community initiative.  After a 2 month submission period, all entries were evaluated and the Myrnam Parents For Play has been selected as a semi finalist in the promotion.  Today I am asking for your support to help this cause win the $25,000.  From now until February 6^th, you can go online and vote to support the Myrnam Parents For Play. Voting instructions are as easy as 1-2-3 and a quick set of instructions are outlined below.  You can vote every day, until February 6^th.  Please share this message with your friends and family so they can vote as well. 

How to Vote

1)       Visit www.facebook.com/lactantiapromise
2)       Click ‘Like’ on the Facebook Page
3)       Select the ‘Share Your Promise’ icon (bottom left hand corner)
4)       To vote, click on the "Vote" tab above and select the entry of your choice.


On February 17^th the winning community will be announced and $25,000 will be awarded to the winner's community cause to help fulfill their community promise!

February 8th - Education Minister's Teleconference

Parent representatives on School Councils are invited to participate in a conference call with the Honourable Thomas Lukaszuk, Minister of Education to continue the discussion on priorities for Alberta's education system.To help this reach as many people as possible our school will act as host for our school council this night. Come out at 7:15 so we are ready for our 7:30 call with the minister. Coffee and snacks will be served!

Don't forget, Basketball tournament next week - February 3rd and 4th.
